Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Pick Markdown browser extension and this website. In short: we do not collect, store or share your personal information.
Last updated 12 Oct 2026
Information we collect
None. Pick Markdown has no accounts and no sign-up, and we do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details. We do not collect browsing history, the pages you capture, or the Markdown you copy or download.
How the extension handles your content
The extension reads and converts pages inside your browser, on your device. Your content is not sent to us or to anyone else. Captures you choose to save are kept in your browser’s own storage and stay there until you delete them or remove the extension. If you ask the extension to read a linked file or a picture, your browser fetches it from its original address, the same as if you had opened the link yourself.
This website
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The demo and the free converter run in your browser; what you paste into them is not uploaded. Like any website, the server that hosts these pages may keep standard technical logs, such as the address requested and the time, to keep the service running and secure.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell, rent or share personal information, because we do not have any to share.
Other services
When you paste Markdown into ChatGPT, Claude or another service, or follow a link from this site to another website, that service’s own privacy policy applies. Pick Markdown is not connected to any of them.
Children
Pick Markdown is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date. If we ever begin to collect any information, this page will say so before that happens.
